depends on whether the emblems have a bevel on them or not

40% of machine cost is in the setup and programming for the first piece.

If the emblem has a bevel than you can't really do it on a water jet. The more pieces you run, the more spread out the setup cost gets and the cheaper each piece part will become. Might want to look at using a wire EDM machine. Waterjet on aluminum can create some funky edges at times depending on the water pressures. Wire EDM is pretty common for keychains, etc. I'm not a waterjet master though. I'm sure someone will say different.Originally posted by Dudermagee View PostI think they have a rack

I figured
For low quantity runs you should look at rapid prototyping and chroming. I did this for some centercaps I designed (no the chroming part, but the building), worked great, not the toughest part ever, but it was more mechanical than a stick on emblem. It had snap in features, etc.

If you want me to, I can work up a quote for you at a few quantities? I do CAD consulting as a side job.
yeah, snap in for a set of vintage MiM 1900s I had for the E21 back in the day. I did the design from a photo I found of the original centercap (NLA).Originally posted by Average_Jerk View Post^ center caps?
