I have never owned an automatic car. I'm sure I will at some point, but only because the car won't have been offered in a manual.

The only automatics I ever owned were my Blazer (not offered in a 5-speed and I was fucking retarded and 17) and my old Accord (winter beater I got for free). And I fucking detested driving either of them.

My '99 Accord LX is a 5-speed, I love bombing around in it. If it was an automatic... completely different story.

Nothing wrong with an automatic.

In some cars, absolutely, I wouldn't mind it. But I personally cannot stand most older (and by older I mean cars made pre like 2010 lol) they just feel sloppy a lot of the time. I absolutely **** my mom's MINIs transmission, and most older BMW autotrans, I've also never been a fan of Audi's auto trans.

And I don't see the point to getting a car with a "sporting" background with an auto, (newer cars like F30, new A4s, etc, is fine because I feel like the trans can keep up with the car and more importantly the driver.

Personal opinions.
