26 and I still have never owned a credit card. If I don't have the liquidity to afford something, I just don't purchase it.

My car and student loans are enough credit for me. I shudder at the notion that I'm paying interest to an asshole who wants to buy a second ML550. Usury was a sin in the Bible, one that I'm surprised none of the Bible-beaters bring up these days.

do you travel? i wouldnt run around using a debit card or carry cash in large amounts with me. a credit card is good for those kind of situations. local is always cash, but in other situations, a credit card = cash to me. i just dont spend any more than i would cash. pay in full. no issues. that guarantees that i am not in any kind of building debt.
