the new 328i is 8 speed auto 4cyl turbo. only revs to 4800 but gets 36mpg in a huge 3 series with 240hp and almost 300lbs/ft of tq...pretty awesome

i love manual trannys as much as the next guy but the new dsg, smg, or whatever they wanna call them really do shift instantaneously making the car a lot faster.
