Pavel, you aren't the first ive heard not like ls exhaust notes. It's been described like just noise and those same people say that ford v8's sound much better.

What's the ford equivalent to the ls?

I thought it was the 5.0, but the production years don't quite match [even though the 5.0 was made until '01, it was only in an Explorer]. I'd wager to say the SOHC 4.6, as it's been in production since '93 I think.

I honestly cant even think about any ford V8 that i dislike as much as I do LSx.
Although I dont know much about older Ford/Chevy engines.
