I got the same ticket last year. You will be fine. They have more important things to worry about

I took a defensive driving course and it gave me a nice discount on insurance, also took off a few points. If your insurance goes up I would look into it.

I'm not sure how it varies state to state, but if I remember right it was just under $50. It was 2 class times for about 2.5 hours each time and it was petty easy. The teacher was cool so that made it enjoyable.

I think it gave me 10% off insurance and took 2 points off my license.
