It's a thing called cinavia that uses the audio track of the movie playing and compares it to the actual audio of the movie thats has small audio signatures in it and of it doesn't match it will stop the movie because of copyright infringement. Maybe it's a us thing?

I havent purchased Sony products for a while. They tricked people into buying Blu Ray, then they fucked over PS3 owners by removing options that they originally paid for and threatened to basically brick your system if you didn't update. Fuck Sony.
