Free version doesnt allow you on secure sites. The paid version does. I only use it for forums and basic stuff anyway so security isnt too much of a concern. Ive used easytether and pdanet now. I like pdanet more. Works very well.

When you deposit through the atm it withholds generally all but $100 or so until it processes.

Yeah but card purchases don't clear for at least 24 hours, and since its the weekend they won't be processed till Monday.. So it really wouldn't matter.
