I made the mistake of purchasing an Audi once. Good thing I've learned from my mistakes, because it will be my last VW/Audi purchase... probably ever. Except for a MK1 VW.
Reasons why I will never buy another Audi:
1. Timing belt broke within one week of purchase, the valves and pistons high-fived. (I can't believe they engineer engines whose very existence depends on a rubber band. I will never fucking understand that. That goes for all companies, not just Audi/VW)
2. Leaked oil, leaked coolant, leaked tranny fluid.
3. Turbo seized, even though nothing but synthetic oil was used.
4. Coilpacks. Ate 4 of them in the one year I owned it, as well as the ICM shitting.
5. It ate sensors.
And there was NEVER a cheap fix. I've had two BMW's that were 14 years older than that Audi, and one (my current car) has twice as many miles, the other had three times as many miles, and the money I put into each of them for repair/maintenance over 3 years doesn't add up to half of what I spent to keep that Audi on the road for one year.
