Thanks for your service by the way. PCS'ing is a bitch.
I can get an e34. I believe it's a 535i or something all I know is it is the v8 one. Guy down the street from my house has it I could probably get it for less than $1500.

Buy an inline 6 e34, not a v8. Buy a 525i for next to nothing, drive it to Atlanta, and drop it off at Performing Imports/German Car Repair/Technica Motorsports for an S50/52 swap, or have them turbo the m50. Upgrade the front suspension bushings and make sure the cooling system is good to go and you're all set.

2003 Mercedes Benz e320 RWD Wagon
Meets every requirement, (Im in the same boat in terms of looking for certain traits in a car that you are in, and I am for sure pulling the trigger on one of these)
-RWD, 6 Cylinder, 7 Seater, 4,500 lbs. of towing capacity (things a beast!), Easy 11 sec. quarters if they tune them up right! (its still a mercedes and an s210 so performance parts are easy and lots of companies support the s210's especially carlsson), Plenty of car seat room, easily lower'able, i have some buddies that are getting 28's- highway mpg),
Its all just MPO, don't want to taint your previous choices, just merely giving you a choice that I believe fits all your requirements, sorry if I wrote too much, this car just hits home with me.
Thanks once again for your service.

yeah man I grew up in a shitty town in upstate ny (munnsville,ny) with nothing after my dad left. and I spent all my free time with my grand father building super modifieds (dirt oval track cars) and I got pretty into welding and shit. so I know what hard work is and can appreciate what goes into a build of any type of vehicle.
yeah british top gear is the tits that's for sure. I just love how no matter what they drive they some how have fun with it even if they **** it lol.
oddly enough my step dad is Australian and when we lived in Australia (wagga wagga, NSW for those of you in Aus that were curious as to where I was) he had a Holden Commodore VZ wagon. it was supercharged and I fell in love and still have a fetish for quick wagons. those benz' can get pretty nutty with the right parts and tune.
but after deliberating with the wife on how I want a shit ton of horsepower and not a giant lifted truck w/$3k worth of huge tires, but still have the capability of a pickup truck. she has decided to give me free reign on a what some would call Mid-Life crisis build (im only 24 so its not actually a midlife but yeah you get the idea) so I have concluded that I will be buying a 03-07 Chevy RCSB or 03-09 ram hemi rcsb 2wd truck. the goal is 700whp on pump gas. 18mpg. enough room for a dirt bike. good enough handling to win some autox events. and as close to a 10sec. 1/4 mile as I can get. and still pull DD duty.
now my only issue is do I go with the cheap and easy to build 5.3 or the pricier 6.0 and make a shit ton of power with amore expensive repair bill. mind you I can replace a 5.3 block for $200 bucks at a salvage yard and the 6.0 are going for atleast $1k.
thoughts? objections? its all in good fun here guys. cheers,
Andy
p.s ill leave this here for an insight
