Their instagram is deleted as well.

Even if the event of personal/ financial tragedy or whatever is going on this is absolutely not an acceptable way to run a company.
I was unaware, thanks for the heads up.

Very interesting that the instagram page disappeared as well...

Being a Bay Area residence and a member of the industry I feel like I should shed some light on what’s going on at weksos from what I gathered over the last few weeks. I had no idea they were ripping off customers or I'd say something sooner.

Let me just start out by saying I never did like Weksos or the owners. I do know them, have spoken with them in the past and we have mutual friends. If you don't want to read the story from my POV skip down to the bottom.

First off Weksos started off with three owners; Adam, Kenneth, and Collin. They pretty much started the business out of a garage in the early 2000's while working at Modacar using the contacts they gathered from that shop. Let’s just say they didn't leave on good terms.

I have no idea how Weksos did as well as they did from selling the same crap every other shop did. In the mid 2000's they has a small shop and hosted a meet every summer which was huge. Later they partnered up with Ernesto Jr. who was running J's gathering (whom was partnered up with JDM Theory - another shop that went bust for some reason with customers that got ripped off in the end) and started Wekfest in the late 2000's. Ernesto told me that he didn't like working with Weksos but he needed partners. Time went by and Collin left at around 2009 due to some disagreements with the other two (Collin was the only guy I actually liked, he went on to start InspireUSA which I recommend doing business with). At around 2012 some rich investor (silicon valley type who retired) became a partner/invester with weksos, wekfest, and a few other local shops. That made it possible for wekfest to do their tour of the US. I was told in the end of the year that he regretted dealing with Weksos because of "lack of communication" and he took it as a lost.

At around June 2013 I was forwarded this email from Kenneth
      Dear Vendors, Clients and Friends,
This notice serves to inform my resignation of President at Weksos Industries to pursue other personal business interestes.
I would like all of you to kindly accept my gratitude and tremendous support which you have given me during my tenure at Weksos Industries. With your assistance, I have been able to gain much experience for which will serve as an important factor for my future opportunities.
All business matter in regards to Weksos Industries will now be at Adam Luong's full discretion. Since Wekfest is a completely separate entity from Weksos Industries, I will continue my position at Wekfest. Effective immediately, Wekfest will also adjourn it's title sponsor relationship with Weksos Industries.
I would also like to address that this decision is of mutual understanding between the parties involved. I wish Weksos the best and Adam will be sure to carry his responsibilities with the upmost professionalism and courtesy to all of you.
For any Wekfest related matter, you can contact me directly at wekfest.international@gmail.com
It has truly been a pleasure to work with all of you. I look forward in seeing you all again in the near future. Sincerely,
      Kenneth Li
I did some digging around and was told all their employees left at the same time. Currently it is only Adam running Weksos.
Like I said previously, I never really like Weksos. I found them arrogant ever since I met them. Because I’m a part of this industry nd it is so small I rather stay anonymous. Unfortunately I will not be able to help anyone who got ripped off get their money back. My recommendation is to file a chargeback on your credit card ASAP. Chances are Weksos will just disappear if it haven’t already.

I'd like to thank you for shedding some light on this for the rest of us, especially since so many of us had positive experiences in the past with Weksos. I don't have anything personal against the guys that ran the shop, they were actually helpful when I had an issue with my coilovers back in 2009.

It's a shame to see the business go this way, I actually enjoyed the fact that Weksos was run by a few guys that started out in their garage.

LOL I ordered some parts back in MAY and I STILL HAVE NOT GOT THEM. I've emailed them, called them, contacted the BBB and still nothing. This is embarrassing and I thought I was an isolated case. I am truly surprised that people still go to their events based on the amount of people who have had problems with them. These large amount of issues leads me to believe this isn't a customer service issue. This is a scam. I wonder if they even have the parts ever.

I ended up going to the bank for a charge back for the parts i order that the OP was taking about (my older brother). A few days after i went to the bank i came home to my coilovers sitting at my door step. I guess when the bank came knocking for money they shipped it out. I my suggestion would be to get all the information you have on buying your parts and take it to the bank for a charge back.

Yeah, i guess all that matters is that i got my parts i worked so hard for. Stinks to see a company that use to be a good and trust worthy place to buy parts do stuff like that. But what do i know, might just be the one guy that seems to be or was running is wasn't able to keep up with the demand. Oh well got my stuff, my cars low, life's is good.
