Holy balls this thread is a shit show.

OP, you need to very carefully think this whole thing over. A few things about an E9x 325i.
 1. They're great, pretty reliable cars, they share a motor with a bunch of other BMWs so parts are easily available, and not extremely expensive.
 2. They're not outrageously expensive to insure, but you'll probably see your insurance rates go up a bit. If you don't pay them, and your parents are cool with it then, by all means.
 3. They're not that fun to drive, sure they're a BMW, and "the ultimate driving machine", but they're quite underpowered, and really don't offer much feel to the driver, when I drove my friends, I was really quite unimpressed, even in comparison to my 01 325i.
 4. There are lots of other costs associated with BMWs that you may not think of. Tires, and gen maintenance parts are more expensive. Not a ton, but you will notice it after a few things go wrong and need to be tended to. I know I did coming from my Integra. Oil changes are much more expensive, and they can be finicky at times. That's just the nature of a BMW however.

I'm not saying don't get one, if you want one, go get it, by all means. Have fun, and enjoy the car. Modify what you want how you please, and remember at the end of the day that it's your own car not anyone else's. However if you post on a forum asking for opinions, you are going to get just that, opinions. Not everyone has the same one as you, and thusly you will have to accept that. Remember though, as long as YOU are happy, nothing else matters. Don't get upset at others though when you ask advice of them, and it's not what you want to do. If you already know what you want to do, just go ahead and do it, if you really are genuinely curious then ask the question.

I didn't come here to start anything, just impart a few words of wisdom that I have learned over my time here, and over my 2.5 years of owning BMWs.

Good luck with whatever you chose to do, and have fun.

You should listen to Kielan, he has walked the road you have, albeit with a more open mind and taste, but you should still listen to him.

i swear no matter WHAT i say, its not good enough for you. How many things have I already agreed with? tail tint? black sideskirts? sell stock? shit bro. chill out. First off, I asked if there were any flaws in my PLAN, not my car. Second, just because you give advice doesnt mean im obligated to take every ounce of it to the grave. You take everything so seriously.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostYou have got to be either the biggest troll on Stance|Works, or so oblivious it hurts.

 You say this:

But insist that you want to keep doing things to it:

You ask us to point out what's wrong:

So we do, and you say shit like this, and completely disregard our advice:

And say you want to do things the right way

 And then you say this:

 I don't even

Thank you! very insightful. My only bone to pick: the advice i ask for is not what I get. "hey should I sell the car stock, or modded?" "get rid of the ricey shit".Originally posted by Kielan View PostHoly balls this thread is a shit show.

Here you're given it yet again, and no suprise, the world is on your shoulders and against you.

How about you read the "do this" part, and look past the rest?

In my build thread I didn't ask for advice. Atleast I don't think. Here I'm looking for advice. But I'm looking for "you should probably sell the wheels and get some good ones" or something along those lines. Every post is basically backhanded advice. You say "do this" and then call me an idiot or a "trol". Honestly, what ever happened to Internet etiquette?Originally posted by Oxer View PostIn your build thread you took absolutely no advice.

My Appologies on being too vague. I mean other suggestions on how to take the pin stripe off.Originally posted by MommysLittleMonster View Post

Edit: my bad I was asking for suggestions. But if I'm Not mistaken, that was in my build thread. Here, I am getting answers. But answers to questions I'm not asking. And as I said earlier, your suggestion is your opinion. Don expect me to take it to the grave. Things that I agree with, such as the tint tails, I listen. But i don't like every suggestion that comes through. Make sense at all?Last edited by Guest; 05-15-2013, 11:04 AM.

If you read carefully, you'll see a lot of the posts were trying to be helpful and are linked to the whole thing. But you kinda just flipped on them, I understand that it's tough to take it all into consideration, but don't be so quick to lose your temper because it's not the answer you were looking for.Originally posted by Celli View PostMy Appologies on being too vague. Heres the problem though, only 20% of the people are actually trying to help. To those who are giving good feedback, I always say thank you and take their suggestion into consideration. But there are others on here who are just downright beligerant. Theres no "answer" im looking for. I just want other opinions. But as I said up there ^ just because someone gives me a suffestion doesnt mean im obliged to take it to the grave. You have just as much right to give a suggestion as I do to not take the suggestion.Originally posted by Kielan View PostIf you read carefully, you'll see a lot of the posts were trying to be helpful and are linked to the whole thing.
