I live near a rock quarry so I would basically have to wash it every couple of days to keep it clean. So I just say fuck it and let it get dirty, as long as the interior is free of trash, it's whatever.

I used to detail so I wash in my driveway. I have a nice little pressure washer, and a cart with all my cleaning supplies and my two buckets. I still have a few 5 gal buckets of tire shine, soap, and degreaser.

i just wipe my car off with any item of clothing i might have in my car.

paints not too great, so i dont really care. even if i did a good wash, id have two colors on my car and random dents/scrapes/scratches/chips.

    aint no thang.

I don't wash my car unless I can do it for free or I do it every few months. So usually in the driveway or when I go to the dealership my friend works at.

My driveway... I don't trust the "spray and pray" washes.

I detail as a hobby (and side business ), so it's always my driveway. My current car has the worst paint of any car I've owned (Cracking, peeling, rust), so I'm not as particular about it as I am about cars with good paint.

Quarter washes will RUIN black/dark paint with those damn plastic-bristle brushes that some of them have. I use the quarter wash in the winter because... well... there isn't much that could make my paint worse, and besides, I can just buff the swirls and spiderwebs out when spring comes.

Those auto wash deals are my nightmare! I wash my cars in the driveway or (during the winter) I'll give the daily a good hosing in one of the self wash bays to get all of the salt off.

One of those coin places, but I bring all of my own mitts and drying cloths. I used to have a driveway at my old house but moved into an apt last year

yeah what he said!!! as long as you keep it somewhat clean... it comes out great... if you keep a routine and use spray wax/detailer every 3rd or 4th time... you really cant be beat.
