If you can find a 2.2 impreza wagon that is one of the best starting points. Forester struts give you a 2" lift to start with on the cheap. then you can do a light trim on the fenders, add Datsun flares and fit 31x10.5 tires.

How hard is it to have wide body fenders produced? Wheel fitment on minis is whack and there aren't any available. Which is ridiculous since they basically come with them stock...I imagine I just have it made out of fiberglass then have a mold made?

Ollie knows a good bit about that process.

You'll find that the mini stock flares are actually basically just covers over metal. They don't really add much of anything.
