Almost sold the Jeep today.

Took off the oil cap and noticed there was a lot of sludge in there. A lot.

So, I looked online and low and behold I guess it's a 4.0 jeep thing. After seeing some pictures of sludged out heads I'll be fine. I do plan to drop the pan and pull the valve cover in a couple weeks to clean it out. But jesus I was shitting myself and extremely pissed off for a little while. Turns out it's more common than not and it's not a hard fix.

Still going to be a week before I can get it on the road. Waiting for a special tie rod and drop pitman arm. Also need to get the horn working. Everything else works.

Upgrade that alternator and do an extra battery and isolator when you can. Those off road lights draw a serious amount of power

They aren't even hooked up nor do they have wires coming out of them.

I'm going to take them off as they are fucking silly anyways. If anything I'll do an LED lightbar which wont draw near as much juice. It's not like I can use the offroad lights around here anyways. Pretty sure it's illegal and I don't plan to wheel much at night.
