Word. Welding aluminum is so much different than welding steel. The weld pool isn't readily visible, nor is it easy to get aluminum to "flow" the way you want.

Yeah...Tried welding aluminum once, it went rather bad.

Aluminum disperses heat so well you need to heat it up for a bit before welding. I've heard that makes it a bit easier.
