I recon I'll start making fakes LOL
Buy 6" wide one, new wide lips, then tig fill the stamps on the back and re-stamp the new specs
Don't know if that's legal to re-stamp them... but it would be pretty easy to do. Welding aluminum is a cunt though.

I would love a set of them fins, they are pretty rare in 5 stud and 15s, so would be a while before I get a matching pair, but don't care, still want more awesome wheels.

A friend has a TIG, I just need more practice, all I would need to do is melt the stamped number and maybe dab 1 drop of filler

Flux core is the fucking antichrist of welding.

If you do make the switch to proper shielding gas and wire, make sure to correct the polarity.

Yes, but the settings on the tig were all wrong so I filed lol

Couldn't get a controlled pool going

Once I have a job I'll be able to throw him some money to compensate for using his gas and filler, so I'll be able to use his welder more.

TIG is seriously the coolest way to weld, it is just so clean, no sparks, nothing...

Word. Welding aluminum is so much different than welding steel. The weld pool isn't readily visible, nor is it easy to get aluminum to "flow" the way you want.
