Note get a daily that doesnt need as much work as your project car.

My daily have a lundry lit of things to do. I am like meh not gonna happen. I am about 900 miles over the oil change, and the oil was last changed like 2-3 years ago.

Get a cheap 5-speed Accord to bang around town in and work on your Kia. The best thing I ever did was buy my silver Accord, I drove it most of last summer when my Prelude was on jackstands. I got a ton done because I could afford to let it set, while my Accord didn't fall apart.

I'm in the same position. Car isn't worth much to sell it, nor am I interested in selling.
