I'd like to stay for the whole two weeks, so I can create a set of documents/instructions for the next person to come in. Makes it easier for them.

How's the sick day shit go -- do I get paid for them if I don't use them upon quitting, can I use them in my two-week quit period, or should I just take it like a man and be here the whole two weeks?

you should get cashed out for vacation, but I've never heard of being cashed out for sick time.

Most major Corps here in CA will only pay you out for VAC and Sick if you Quit. If youre fired you get none, Just what you worked. Its really up to the employer.

I'm a fucking English major, I feel lucky making $35k without working for a Fortune 500 company. I probably won't top $60k or so, at any point in my career. Automotive journalism doesn't pay what everybody wishes it did.

I think mostly sticking around for both weeks is just a way of leaving on a good not and keeping ties open. You never know when you may need to talk to someone.

Actually most McDonalds managers here in Cali get paid about 40k And now they even get benefits.

I make about 46k and it isnt enough here in CA. Which is why i also Buy and Sell shit on ebay/carforums/craigslist ETC.

I'm thinking of making a bold move and start importing cars on the side. Like a small side Business. I'm also looking to buy a 3 unit property and make some money that way as well.
