What happened with the e28 anyway?

I swapped the rear spacers out from 5mm to 3mm to try to help with the rubbing. Unfortunately the rear subframe bushings are totally shot, so the subframe wandered just enough to one side for the tire to severely rub on the rear fender and blow it out.
