  • I’m done putting motors where they don’t belong lol. I’m keeping the M42 and gonna do ITB’s eventually. I’m just trying to have a cool car to cruise around in again. Already been in cantact with Jaze, the e30 is getting BWS air suspension.

        • other than looking cool, being unnecessarily expensive and being a complete pain in the dick to calibrate,

what are the other benefits of ITB's?

          • they look cool, but I'm guessing allow more airflow?

            • Nearly-instantaneous throttle response (if tuned well.)

Is that the only way to achieve this though? Seems like a lot of work to have a snappy throttle response.

Don't do it. Make it actually drive first.

                          • Equal length of the intake means less turbulences means more air/fuel mixture can
go into the combustion camber faster making more power per cyl.

If you chose the length of the intake and the header lenght in conjunktion with you
camshaft you can make even more power, because of the positive pressure wave the
intake valve create when it closes.

Same for the header, if the lenght is chossen right the expanding/flowing exhaust gas creats a
negative pressure in the other runners of the exhaust manifold basiclly sucking the burned gas
out of the cyl, meaning negative pressure in the camber means more air/fuel can enter and so on...

                            tl:dr:
They make power don't question it also they sound bitchin', but turbo more cost effective
