i hope you are not talking about outer lips. yes, i have painted inner barrels, although it is rather pointless

Indeed I am. I don't have time to get them mirror polished right now so until next summer I plan on bringing them bare and wet sanding from 400-2000 grit in stages. Then spraying them black and centers gold.

Painted inners make sense to me for some reason. But they get grubby no matter what. As far as painting them goes, I have to use paint stripper on the clear anyway. It's toast.

do not do that. centers in gold is fine, but do not paint lips. leave that to the widebody charger guy

Everyone polishes them. Paint can be easily removed. Just seemed like an easier option for now.

With RS' you can't even see the inner barrel, just wasn't necessary
