  • I mean the car industry overall is down. Hell look at Ford killing every car in the US except the Mustang and switching to a 99% truck/SUV/crossover lineup...

    • Nobody helps anybody else on Instagram though. The forums are much more than a place to post pictures. I've learned quite a bit on here about both my car and other people's. I feel like I am almost young enough to be that generation but I have ALWAYS loved cars. I always will.

      • been wondering for a while now, what everybody gonna do with these $100,000+ collector cars that will be irrelevant in a few years

many insurance companies wont insure cars older than 10 (or 15?) years old,

emissions regulations and gas prices are pushing people to buy hybrids

what is gonna happen to all those garage queen barracudas, gto's, big block rigs, etc?

        • i mean, don't all those cars mainly maintain value because they are supposed to be street driveable?

if they really just are museum/showroom pieces, are people going to treat them like investments after they become too expensive/impractical to drive?

i think all these prices on em gonna drop

            • I think prices on vintage enthusiast vehicles will continue to climb until we hit another recession.

              • y tho?

like, whats the justification for the value maintaining on something that is less and less likely to ever be driven with every passing year? it literally becomes a static piece of art, and there are only so many cars out there worth calling "art", and only so many people with the space and money to afford having art like that

                  • So this weekend I did something dumb... Worth it though. 380 for 5 style 5s, 17x8 et20 with realistically 3 good tires. Couple of the barrels are rough but not unfixable. I know you guys will probably **** me but with my son and dogs I don't get a lot of time so I will be sanding these down, (the correct way) and they will have painted barrels until next summer. I won't be running them through the winter anyway. Forgot to mention the tires are massive as you can see and even at stock height I feel they won't fit.

                          • That would've been cool. I just got them because they can be made however you like and for around 250 a set shipped in 15x10 with 6in lips I figured it would look cool. They are crazy wide in person. And the setup is squared.
