i havent listened or even bothered to look for new music in probably... 5 years or more. idk if its cause i'm old, or just dont give a damn, but i let it come to  me. if it doesnt, fine. i mostly listen to the crap i listened to in high school anyway lol

 Yeah man, me too, I'm 100% stuck in listening to what I listened to in highschool.
 
 But it is nice that bands I listen to are releasing new work now, and although Mantra is lacking the oomph instrumentally, Sykes is seriously a lyrical genius, regardless of the instrumental component lacking.
 
 I've also been listening to friends band a lot, along with finding old music again.
 I have a solid alternative music playlist on Spotify these days, almost 200 songs of greatness spanning years.
