I can't even fathom paying 1,000 for wheels. Quality does cost though, I guess.

The heat out in the valley is pretty wild actually. Hopefully we can get the pool situated pretty quickly, along with a few other things.
Closing is the 3rd of September. So we have sixteen days until then. Everything seems to be okay though, other than the inspections. We'll use the negotiating skills of our agent to bring down something at least.

When did the noise start? I looked through you buildthread to see what oilpan you have and
saw your pan was dented, is it still on the motor?
If yes that may has caused the oil starvation, since the pickup is now closer to the pan itself,
and the pump may couldn't suck enough oil in, or it sucked the pan onto the pickup hence blocking it...
I'd start by checking the oilfilter for shavings then oil itself (clear container let settle over night), then pulling the pan...
It sucks dude, best of luck!
started randomly after a 2 hour drive. heard the knock when i parked it, next morning i fired it up and it was even louder than the night before
pan is still on the engine. i had to dent it to clear the subframe, but that was years ago, and it hasnt knocked all of this time. there have been no new dents since the original ones i bashed in for clearance
do not believe it is an issue with the oil pickup, as there are no dents in the deep end of the pan, where the pickup is located.
