Headers will fit, use lt1 gaskets. Mounts should be the same. Compression is slightly different. 10.25 for the l48 and 10.4 for the lt1, I think. You might run into problems with the ecm. Iirc the l48 was a 350, not a 383. I would call an engine rebuild shop and ask them. Maybe a Corvette specific shop could give you specs on both

thnx m8, the ecm issue is enough for me to ditch the idea.
the 383 wasnt original to the camino, thats just what it was dropped in before it was pulled.
Sorry I didn't have better news to give man haha, just the lt1 is pretty generation specific. I wanted to run lt1 top end on my l98 in the firebird but just gave up
As much as I **** to say it, some brand new engines don't even last that long haha. Saw a Jeep with 13,000 miles with a half dollar sized hole in the block haha.
