real question:

is it better to live a baller life in debt with no real intention of paying it all back? Or is it better to live cheap, never have the things you lust for, but never be in debt, and die with money in the bank?

Honestly, if it is a healthy debt I am okay with it.
If you're making repayments and slowly chipping away and can still enjoy shit, go for it.

i think you are right. mostly because if you plan to have any fun in your younger (less wealthy) years, you're going to have to borrow money. the only justification being, those same purchases at 60+ years of age will not be the same, no matter how hard you try to make them seem so.

every retired old man in a corvette is really just a young kid with a dream that showed up to the party long after the last girl left. there are still half-empty drinks scattered about and the music might still be playing, but the party really is over.
