I hear so many people say this.

I really, really want to make the switch to a A7II, but I just can't justify it atm.

When we meet up you can play with mine. I think I've convinced Mike and Andrew to make the switch as well.

A friend's got one, I think it's the A7II. It's a lot different than the Canon stuff I'm used to, but some of the features are hot. Mostly focus peaking and it's crazy how much more dynamic information the sensor retains compared to a Canon.

Also, the truck rides again! Whoop. Backup camera is awesome. As well as the new sound system. Giddy with excitement for when the subwoofer finally goes in.

                      You asked for it!

                      Before:

                      During:

Mockup for the setup under the seats, woofer also mocked up where it'll be:

Doors were treated with some cheapo alubutyl sound deadening and fabbed up some adapters for the new speakers:

Put some thick fabric sound deadening behind the door panel to help against it rattling:

Fabbed up some adapters for the tweeters:

                      After:

Camera just above the rear plate:

                      Components for those who care:

                      - Pioneer AVH X390BT headunit
                      - Pioneer ND-BC8 reverse camera
                      - Audio System Radion 165 2-way front speakers
                      - Eton SR100.2 amp for the front speakers
                      - Rockford Fosgate Punch P310D2 10" Subwoofer
                      - Eton PA1502 amp for the woofer

                      • Hell yeah, that's awesome!
The tweeters fab work looks pretty awesome.

Got me thinking about what I can do to the Porsche now.
Potentially a 2 way channel amplifier with aux cable and just to the standard dash speaker would suffice. "Hidden" but still functional, can then change door cards to RS cards (removing door speakers that don't work) and then remove the shitty rear speakers off the parcel shelf for when it is stripped...

                        Temptation is real.

                          • Damn that's some nice work man. I need to clean up ODB's sub instal. Right now it's got an 8" Infinity in a huge box in the trunk. Gotta figure out something a bit more hidden.

Looks like engine swap is necessary on the Porsche now. Eurgh.
