    • Kinda want a bagged car for once. Drove my friend's bagged E30 a while ago. Was cool. But I kinda feel like bags won't really fit my Mk2 project with the style I have in mind... Kinda want to keep things at least semi-period correct for the late 80ies, early 90ies.

      • I'm in the same spot with the Porsche. I've finally decided what route I want to take it though, so that is nice.
It's just a matter of starting to stockpile parts to achieve that route. Long time ahead that's for sure, definitely different than when building the other cars (ie not caring about money)...

Yeah. I was planning on swapping in a M106 turbo motor from an e23 745i. Had the motor up at Bimmerheads and everything. But someone wanted it and offered me some suspension in a partial trade, so I said yes.

It'd be more strange going from bagged to static if I actually used the bags more often. I really only ever air up/down at shows. Most of the time, the car stays the same ride height.

Oh shit, I do remember you saying something about this. Deng. What's the plan now? Just keeping it stock?

For now. May throw a cam into it and a chip at some point, just to give it a bit more power. It sucks that I have a garage, but it's small and right against/under an apartment unit, so I really can't do any serious work in it. Definitely getting a place with a large/separate garage when I move again.

                    • Had a bit of a moment on the bike this morning going to work. On PCH following a truck, decides to stop short, and the Mini next to me is crowding the left side of his lane, so I can't split the two. Hit my brakes hard enough to get the rear tire to squeal.

What I'm sayin is fuck Mini drivers.

                        • Thanks Seb. Honestly it was my fault for following the truck too closely while not having a good, readily available escape option.

                            • Yup.

Rode PCH home from Long Beach to Irvine. Man that was a fun cruise.
