I was in the engineering side of the business for a while, nobody in my department spoke a fucking word of automotive. Made work unfuckingbearable.

Since switching to the manufacturing side, three of the guys I see on a daily basis talk shop. Guy that sits next to me has a CTS-V and all we do is talk about doing burnouts.

As someone from where your carb was engineered and made, I'm sorry.

What needed work? You can buy a rebuild kit dirt cheap and do it in a few hours.

Chris, one of the C10 guys here offered to rebuild it for me cause I didn't know what I was doing and wanted it done right. Took longer than expected and he somehow managed to loose the fast idle cam that connects to my choke. So it won't hold idle without my foot on it. Found another person selling the same carb, so I'm gonna pick that one up after work.

I work in an environment where everyone speaks English as a second language. It sucks so can't even talk let alone discuss cars...

I'm hoping when I move to the next job someone there has cars as an interest. Would love to discuss burnouts with someone.
