Hi boss!

I am at work. I've been reading through rusty's build thread, we get some costumers but im way to busy reading about rusty and I don't see them. One hour goes by, costumers comes and goes but I don't see anything. Im in my own world.. or in Mike's world. One and a half hours later im done reading through rusty's build thread, all the articles about him and suddenly realise - im not home.

A little later my boss calls me in back. He asks why we have not had any customers today and as the great employer I am I lie my ass off. But he is one smart motherf***er and checks the sequrity cameras. I now have to explain that I used one and a half hour of my work to look at one car. Not only was he not interested but I threatened to fire me.

The reason why Im telling this is because right before I started writing this I catch the guy reading the article about Rusty on Speedhunters and he is actually super interested. I will probably end up helping him to make a stanceworks account by the end of the day.

Too long of a process just to have a sitting car in the garage when I can just get the engine rebuilt and not worry about smog, and be back on the road enjoying driving again.

For 1UZ swap, I'd need (or want)
Engine (including all smog/emissions parts)
350Z trans
Trans adapter
Clutch/flywheel
Harness conversion
Mount kit
Custom driveshaft
MK1 Supra rear/Dana from Volvo/ or Ford 8.8
Custom headers (or modified stock) (90% sure will fail from state ref)
Can't think of what else I'm missing but with all that, the brake booster would have to be deleted as well and I won't mount the engine further forward for that.

For F20,
Engine/trans and smog/emissions parts again
Upgrade Clutch/flywheel while I'm at it
Custom harness
Mount kit
STOCK HEADER OK
Custom driveshaft
At least rebuild stock rear and new LSD
Again, missing misc parts to have but those are the key things I'd need.

With a rebuild I can haul the engine and get it to a rebuilder, clean up the bay etc etc while the engine is out, and pick up the engine when finished to bolt it back up and go from there. Be back on the road much faster than a swap and enjoy driving everywhere.
