                The t6060 or t56 magnum will work but theyre expensive too.

                I was going to go with a t56 magnum but thats going to be like 5k+ all said and done.

                I'm going to go with a rebuild instead and get a vg30 transmission for the cressida eventually.

                  Basically yes. You "can" turn a corvette trans into a regular set up but you'd need a new mainshaft, front and rear case ends and a bunch of little crap, I'd bet you'd have as much into that as just getting a regular F body or CTSV one
