After submitting an application how long is a suitable time to give a follow up call?

I agree with Dave. Don't follow up on a Friday. Give them Monday to catch up from the weekend, then follow up Tuesday. Be super polite, obviously.

TL;DR: Kielan was right with Tuesday.

Andrewfromtheinternet, Jalopnik has been running like shit this week. Half your images won't load (it's like at work too) and the discussion sections haven't been loading. Same thing with Gizmodo and all the other nonsense sites they have.

I've had weird errors pop up with Jalopnik today, too. It also posted my post twice, which was super great (not). Kinja's still new, and while I think it's great, it still has some wrinkles that need to be ironed out. I like the idea that it gives everybody a voice that can be put on the front page, though. Half of the great content put up each day comes from Opposite Lock. Jalop's commenters are some of the best and smartest in the industry.

I've never actually talked to her. She's a bartender in the city, but she's drop dead gorgeous. Going to the city tonight and I plan on getting a number. She may be out of my league, but then again maybe she doesn't get approached much because guys are intimidated. Worst thing that can happen is that she gives me a fake number, so I have nothing to lose.

Sweet thanks guys. I filled out an application for firestone while I was getting tires since they desperately need mechanics. Plus I do not have to be ASE just pass a generic test.
