So a guy I know has an '89 Mustang 5.0 LX. 5-speed, clean body, 92k miles, and in good running nick... but needs a paint job in the worst way. He's trying to offload it before his wedding day, as he's got 2 other projects running. $2200, or trade him some stuff.

Very seriously considering trading him a set of 5x114.3 wheels and a little cash for the car. Am I crazy?

Well, here's the upside. It's a flip car. Buy it, drive it, clean it up, dump it. I could scuff, shoot, and buff the car in a week's time, clean up all the stuff that it needs, and sell it for a small profit. And, I'd get to enjoy my V8/manual trans hard-on all summer long.
