Well given that i am 16, and the first time i seen a car that was anything special was like 3 months ago, i am still pretty easily impressed. Plus the lack of local people that have nearly the interest in car that i do doesn't help either. I just would like the idea there there's a place i can go to meet car people and talk about cars without them acting like they know more than they really do to impress me.

Go to your local cars and coffee, those dudes are a lot more knowledgable, helpful, and generally respectable people who can offer far more to you than any of the fuckwits in this scene.

99% of people into cars are fucking shit head scum bags from the age of 16 to 30. Many of them only do it so they can be the center of attention, and will do anything to do that. Whether it be setups to be "different" or doing stupid shit at car shows. These people will do anything to be chief of the scene idiots.

Do what you like because you like it, and don't give a fuck what other people have to say.

I could have been more clear, but in text/on the internet its hard to pick up on tone...

My m42 decided to try to commit suicide... There's a bolt that holds a timing chain guide that apparently gets loose... I caught it before the kaboom though Hopefully helicoils are easy to install

Yeah, I used to have a ton of friends from cars. Then 90% of them turned out to be scumbags, that you want nothing to do with. I'm 22 I've got a lot of shit to do and see, and I don't need bullshit drama to slow me down. Looking back most of those people, i've actually began to make something for myself. I have a great career ahead of me, and I'm sure as shit not living paycheck to paycheck, or maxing out credit cards to impress so fuckwit on the internet.

I like a good meet or show as much as the next guy, but like hell if I'll let my hobby rule my life.
