I have a 2 hour commute each way into work. It's fucking miserable, moving will cost me ~400 more a month. But that doesn't count the amount of value I place on my time, which is definitely more than $400/month

It's not driving. ~40 minutes total of driving, to and from the train station. Take the train into grand central, take the 4/5 down to Union square, then change to the L and take that over to 8th ave.
Drive to train station: 20 minutes
Train ride into manhattan: 1 hour
Subway ride to work: 20 minutes
Walk from subway: 5 minutes
Walk to subway: 5 minutes
Subway to GCT: 20 minutes
Train Ride home: 1 hour
Drive home: 20 minutes
Give or take 15 minutes each way waiting for subway/traffic, etc- Kielan (Key-lin)
