there are so many barn finds in remote places. rich ppl move out to islands or rural areas, buy porsches, bmws, Ferraris, and when theyre done driving them, they park them in the barn and buy another. then some day they decide to clean out the barn, and plebs like me lose our shit.

Barn finds are magic. They're like finding the perfect pornography video, or a perfectly shaped turd in the toilet. The sense of joy brought by them is unparalleled.

Eh, depends on what you're doing.

You'll probably want to kill yourself doing the VANOS units, but other than that, they're not terrible. You're competent enough to do what you'd need to do.

I worked on a non M. I wanted to cut my own dick off installing coilovers.

Keep in mind this was the first time ever working on a BMW let alone a German car. Never had to use 13mm or 15mm sockets til then.

All relative to what you're doing.

I did a coilover install on an Altima, same year as your car. Confirmed to be a bigger pain in the ass than anything I've ever done on my E36.
