Staying in NY, just getting the hell on my own. Not sure where I want to live yet.

I could live around here and have to drive 1 hour to see my gf but be close to work etc.

or

I could move closer to her, be around more cool stuff (stores, better gyms, shit like that) and be about 50 minutes from work.

Leaning towards moving closer to her though. Even if shit goes south and I sign a year lease on a place, it just means it's an inconvenience for a while but I'm still around a lot of cool stuff. Then I can move wherever.

But,

there is no gym in the town where I'd be able to split the difference. So I'd have a shorter commute to work but if I wanted to go to the gym before/after work I'd still be driving 50 minutes round trip.

So either way I'm commuting one way or another.

I think I just need to sit down and figure out how much it would cost each month driving all over the place.
