That Metra FM modulator looks like it's the euro antenna plug to standard antenna cable and a standard antenna to 3.5mm bulkhead jack for the other cable. If I hook it up how does the radio get any antenna signal?

standard FM Antenna in
standard FM Antenna out
(this is why you need the 40EU30, for to adapt to Euro)
then you need power and ground to the FM mod
when the switch is on, the FM signal is interrupted and only the device plugged into the FM mod will play through station 89.1 or some shit.
when the switch is off, FM will function normally.
