Looks like I'm throwing a manual in the e39, I don't want to fuck with my broken torque converter throwing a p0741 and making my car impossible to get an inspection sticker or the magic exploding reverse gear
Heading to the yard tomorrow to pick up the swap parts, find a $100 zf 310/320 ...
with the 3.46 auto diff 2nd gear would be like 15% shorter than a 330ci zhp which does 0-60 in 5 and a half iirc...
same engine shorter gears 200 pounds more weight.... might be quick if i've actually got that right but its gonna suck crusing at 3k on the highway, but fuck it since my torque converter doesn't lock up thats how it is anyways.
