  • You better hope you didn't hydro-lock the motor.

    • I was told I'd have to submerge the filter in water before it being hydrolocked.

I drove a good while before it couldn't start anymore.

        • nah you just gotta get enough water in the motor...
Hope that didn't happen though, would suck to kill your car by washing it...

I mean if you were driving it and it was running ok i guess then it isn't hydrolocked, its pretty apparent when you bend a rod

I used rolled up paper towels to soak up most of the water in 2 cylinders. There was probably a thin layer in one cylinder and then less in the other.

Yeah it was running fine and also did a bent rod test which the rods are fine.

            • to get rid of water what you do is remove all spark plug and crank the fuck out of the car.

Water will shoot out and you are done

Yeah I did that when it was still in the parking lot and I only got a mist out.

                • Fuck it, I'm going to try and get those bolts out of my Hamanns with a pair of vice grips and then just use metric hex screws.

                  Thoughts?

                  • What kind of bolts are stuck? You can't use an impact or something?

I'd need either a 6 or 7mm 10 point bit. Both I've been unable to locate.

I thought so too. So I bought an 8mm bit and tried. No dice. I'm kinda think it's the elusive 7mm that OZ used on the Vega's. I'm also going to measure the bit tomorrow after I find my caliper.
