I'm already seeing gains 2.5 weeks into this 12 week program. Not only in the mirror, but in the gym with the amount of weight I can move.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm not as much of a weighlifter as I am a bodybuilder. I'm more about perfect form, stretching and squeezing the muscle to promote hypertrophy.
Not to mention the equipment. I think I sunk about $1500 into my ski's, boots, bindings, and outerwear.
body building/weight lifting/power lifting/olympic lifting = proper form
crossfit = shit show of bad form
Honestly rent for the first year if you don't plan on going more than 4 or 5 times.
Speaking of which I need new bindings.
I blew my bindings up last year and had to get new ones.
Blew up one of the brakes landing switch and super nose heavy. Binding pre-released and I grenaded a brake. Had to go to the ski shop so we could hack the rest of the brakes off and get a safety strap.
Then a couple weeks later I grenaded the binding itself landing real hard 270'ing onto a box.
Had to walk the rest of the way down the mountain. Went to the ski shop that sold the bindings and they warrantied them. I then spent $200 more to step up to the same bindings that have all Magnesium construction. I'll break a ski before I break one of these binding.

But it is intense man, you just dont get it!!!!
I know a kid who is always in the gym and preaches crossfit, yet my fat ass can out lift him everytime. His excuse is he is having an off day, or he just lifted the previous day so he cant lift today.
there are some crossfits that are decent, dont get me wrong. but most of them are all gimmick
The Shortcut to Shred workout I did was pretty legit. I'm not sure if that's classified as crossfit but there was a whole lot of cardio I did in-between each set.
