  • What Do You Think?

So, I wrecked my car, plain & simple. I'm on a small budget, unfortunately, so I've been looking around online for cars. I've checked out a few E30's, E34's, and some older Audi's. Honestly, I'd like to have a GSX, because I like the DSM turbo'd platform, but they're not very easy to find. I also know people who rebuild those engines. But, anyways. I know it's a bit beat up and such, but give me your two cents, please. Thank you.

What does everyone think about this?

I personally think that the Eclipse is one of the ugliest cars around...
if it were me, E30 or an Audi.

      Haha!

There was a black E30 online for sale, and I texted the owner and he said that he didn't want to sell it anymore.

Here's the two Audi's I've found (within my budget):

If you are on a tight budget, an Audi might not be a good idea.

That eclipse looks pretty beat up. Looks like it might have had a minor unreported front ender

Everyone I know with DSM's has never had an issue. Well, I guess that's probably because they've all rebuilt their engines, lol.

You cheap and reliable? Get a Honda. I would never own one, but you can not deny what they are good for.

If you buy a cheap Audi or DSM

You're gonna have a bad time.

If you wrecked your car and you're just looking for something to keep you moving around town, any one of the cars you've listed is the equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot. Audi's are infamous for electrical issues, and DSM's are... well, DSM's.

Look for a 90's Honda to get you around without breaking down- you can't go wrong with '94-01 Accords or Civics, if you can find a halfway-decent one. A $2000 budget warrents to say, anything you will buy will need some level of work, and no one sells a perfectly-good Audi on the cheap.

QFT. At this point it may be a more affordable investment to buy a boat over a 90's Audi or DSM. Get a Honda and replace any wear parts and do a good tuneup and be happy.
