  • How do I make the $$$ happen.

Someone help me out here and give me a little advice.

I was going to get mb battles, but decided fuck it, I need real wheels.
So Zilvia I went, and well it looks like I can get a good set for around $1200-1300.

I don't have a job, other than the small work I do for family, which gets me $100 a week.

I'm trying to figure out how the hell I can effectively save for wheels before spring (april-may) comes along. Because that $100 a week usually has to go towards food/gas.

Or maybe I should look for one of those "one-time project" type of deal jobs on craigslist?

fuck I ono...times are harsh on someone who is addicted to their car.

Get a job or stick it out until you do have a job. There is no point of spending money on such a useless investment such as cars if you don't have a job or extra income to make it a "hobby."

the "stick it out until you have a job" kills me. I had a job until October of last year, and now that thats gone, I have NO IDEA where the hell to find a job..

it just seems like no one is hiring..but I agree with your point.

oh and primerdimer, my car is only a 2.5i, and its paid off.

What kind of job did you used to have? Are you in school? Highschool? College?

Your best bet is to not shop around until you have the cash. Otherwise you're just gonna get excited, then disappointed.

You have a better chance at being struck by lightning than get a job out here in SoCal. I've been trying for the last 5 years and all I've been able to get is Elite Security, which anyone can get that job as long as they can read and write and speak in english, pass a test they practically give you the answers to and pay $200 to get your Guard Card.

So, if you're looking for a good side gig where you can schedule your own work and work when you want, look up Elite Show Services Inc.

Do you know what you want to do career-wise after you graduate (major-wise?). You could look for something to get your foot in the door in that field...

Now would be a great time to look them up. If you can get all your crap done before like...June at the latest, you'll make it in time for a lot of the summer stuff, including Comic-Con. $13.20 an hour at ComicCon for 4 Days (if you get all four) for as many hours as possible, there were people making close to $1500+ paychecks just for that.

It wouldn't be much, but you can always work for KGB. Normally, you get 10 cents per question you answer, but when they know they are going to have a high volume of questions, like on the super bowl, they pay 50 cents per question answered.
