Writing a research paper: BMW's M division

So I've decided since I've always wanted to learn more about BMW motorsport history, (considering the Saturn is so damn euro.. ), I would use my college english class 5 page research paper assignment to expand my knowledge.

I'm starting with the initial creation of the M line, looking to focus alot on the 80's and 90's, divulge into the E24 M6's absolutely breath-taking beauty for a few pages, and leaving up with modern day/future of the division.

I know that there are very few BMW enthusiasts () on this forum (catch the sarcasm), but I was wondering if anybody would like to shed some light, throw in some opinions/facts, or throw out some sources (wikipedia doesn't count, or I would have used it already). Just looking for other insight as I do my own research. Thanks, apprecaite it.

I can only use 2 of those, for some reason the prof checks those. He feels those sources are "too easy to find".

How would i do it: Learn about start of BMW M(Old 3.0 CSL? racecars) and from there to 70's & 80's race cars(E21?, E26, E30) and from there starts the road versions (E28 M5, E26 M1, E30 M3)..
