Whats going on guys,
Glad to be apart of this community.
Today I got my wheels on my car. 225/40 on 9.5+22 and 235/40 on a 10.5+22. My fenders got rolled today but the 235 was still rubbing so I had to get an alignment done asap and now I am running negative camber so they don't rub. I am pretty sure they still rub on HUGE dips and sometimes when I make a sharp turn but nothing like before.
I was wondering what are your suggestions to a first time stretched driver? People are like you must be very careful the bead can come off, the tire can explode if its slightly rubbing, etc, etc. Just stuff that is making me paranoid haha. I was driving at 40 mph today people were not happy but hey, low and slow.
All the tires are at 40 psi, tomorrow I will buy my own small PSI gauge so I can monitor tire pressure very frequently. I also need a low profile jack for any emergency that might occur....any suggestions? And for a spare the wheels are 18" my spare is 17".....should I get a 18" spare?
Sorry for all the questions, on the "car" forums people think stretching tires is dumb and call you stupid I was told to go here and I am liking the community here. Hoping you "seniors" can help me out.
Thanks!
