  • G35 coupe? Need some advice guys.

Hi everyone I'm a long time lurker and complete fanatic of anything automotive and anything stance related, I didn't post in the intro section yet but will soon. Basically though I need some advice. I have the chance of getting a 2003 g35 coupe with about 100k miles for around 8500 or maybe 9000. I have never owned an Infiniti or Nissan and don't know much about them as far as mechanics, reliability, and expenses. I basically wasn't planning on getting another car yet but I find myself not being able to stop thinking about owning one. It's always been one of my favorite cars. I guess my question is am I getting myself into a money pit possibly? Will I have to do any major repairs if I want to drive it another 100k and stance it? Let me know what you guys think. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should go look at it or just ignore it for my own good. Thanks

do what you feel is right. take it to an infiniti or nissan dealer to get it inspected before you buy it. this way you will know if there are any under laying problems with the car. obviously with 100k on the car some suspension parts will be worn out.

I always am sketchy about buying cars with over 100k on the clock...

Like brandonford said, see if the seller will agree to get it checked by a dealer. If there are things wrong, tell him to knock money off according to repairs that it may need. Good luck!

The only cars I've ever bought with less than 100k was a 91 hardbody and a 92 240sx. You'll be alright. My 99 Infiniti is a very, very reliable car and so far everything that's gone wrong I expected to go wrong.

Your best bet is to research online about common problems. 20 mins and a google search and you'll know what to look for and expect.
