  • finding classics

so all of you guys with classic jdm, classic euro, where do you find these things? I've been searching for a classic jdm for years, just a beat up piece of crap to rat out. i've tried craigslist like every day for the past 5 years and no luck.

Its not that easy, an old car takes a lot of work and money to get running and stay running. Also there's enough piece of shit cars running around so please don't take a car with potential and "rat" it out. A clean well built car will always be better than a ratted out car.

I moved into a house with my ex gf and one of her girl friends, the 02 was in the yard across the street. I walked over, bought it and pushed it to the garage.

word thanks for the input guys. yeah I guess I'll just keep trying. I was trying to find an 84 supra to boso out and gave up, recently I saw that datsun 610 wagon on speedhunters and I've been scrambling to find a datsun pickup or something. I would never rat out a clean classic, that's a horrible thing to do!

I found mine on craigslist... I checked it every chance I got, and I found it.

You can find some amazing deals if you put a lot of effort into it. I spent 9 months looking for my VW bus. I ended up getting two of them and one in amazing shape and all original for half the bluebook value of the best conditioned one (8k).

Check craigslist, autotrader, cars.com, etc at minimum twice daily. I was checking morning, lunch, dinner, and before bed EVERY day.

It's the same way I got my near mint condition s13.

I had a 86.5 supra 7mge as my second car. Rebuilt the engine with my dad, then the valves weren't sitting right and it sat for over a year. He sold it for $75

Pretty much what everyone else has said. I got all three of my cars on Craigslist after months and months of frequent searching. I got amazing deals them too. Even though the E28 is the only one I'd call a classic. The E30 is getting there...haha.

Ive gotten all my cars thru old people... Old people take care of their cars. lol
EVERY time I see a car that I'd think would look good. An old person who has it isnt driving it anymore and they sell it to me for cheap... Here are some examples of my prev cars> 79 60k o.g mile Deluxe baywindow ( the pic is after I dumped it ) , & my 100k og mile 533

I spent a few months looking for an s13 but stumbled upon an s30 for 1500. I noticed he had posted it a few days earlier for 1750 so I decided to wait and see if it went down further. I ended up buying my Z for $700. So just keep searching and keep your eyes peeled, they're out there you just have to be patient.
