Thinking about purchasing a car.

Hey guys, just wanted your opinion on something. I found a 1983 Nissan Bluebird for sale for $350. It's manual, has roughly 200,000 KM of the meter. It's unregistered but isn't too far away from where I live. Does anyone know anything about these cars? Are they reliable? I was thinking about purchasing it as a way for me to educate myself better on how the workings of a car operate, where things join together etc. I'll probably be taking a year long course next year but for now, I thought this would be a fun little project. I plan of restoring the engine and cleaning the car up inside and out, but you know how that goes, i'll just end up doing more than what I plan . So if you can, could you please tell me anything you know about this car, thanks!
