To clarify, I didn't read the OP. I don't **** stretched tires or anything like that. Also, seems like a really fucking dumb idea to come onto a site called "stance works" then make a thread about stretched tires suck. I'm sure as hell going to be getting another set.

Dude, I understand and respect your opinion but come on, no need to act as if everyone here with stretched tires is stupid. They're obviously doing it because they like it, and that's completely up to them.
Now what I don't like is stretching tires for the sake of stretching. Say you could use a 195 without rubbing, why the hell would you put a 165 on there?

Add to that RIDICULOUS camber, and I don't mean a couple degrees, that's totally fine, but any more than this is were I don't like it anymore:

You mis-took my rant as ****. I did use the term stupid. But I was more so directing that towards those who will sacrifice basic function for looks. Like losing the ability to drive just to be a little lower. I personally like the performance based look. That's where lowering cars came form. To improve handling(and that's what I'm going for). But if I lower my car to the point it won't move how good is that gonna handle? So I apologize if I came across like I **** stretched tires. Everything is ok with moderation(even a little camber - that's performance based too).

the idea is to keep an open mind people

its shows that not everyone is the same (earth would be a pretty shit place if they were)

i luv all 3 styles (fat, square, stretch) and IMHO "stance" is particular to how a car sits, good stance can be achieved many ways if its done right all look good it just comes down to personal taste as to what the induvidual preferes.

I love low cars....and I understand the stretched tires are for clearance and pulling off the flush look. BUT.... I can't let form fuck with my function. If I'm going to upgrade from my 7.5" wide stock wheels for a set of 9" wide(or wider) wheels why the hell would I put tires on there that are smaller than what I'm currently running.....? Not a lot of sense there.

This is probably blasphemous around here, but I plan on lowering my car to the point that it handles like a track beast. Not stupid pan smashing low that will require I run super stretched tires and can't clear a speed bump or carry a passenger. Low's fun but at what point is it too low? I say it's too low when it's completely anti-funcional(can't drive for example). Congrats... your car is so low it won't move on gravel, and your 10" wheels are putting the same amount of rubber to the pavement as my bicycle. Kudos to you.

Sorry rant over. Let's see some functional stance!

maybe you should have or maybe i should have made the title clearer but no where did i say stretched tyres suck this thread was intended to showcase tyre/wheel combos that arent stretched.
